“Auburn like the university, McCormick like the spice” is how this small-town Mississippi native introduces herself. She has been involved with music since she was a toddler. Her mother was a voice teacher who pushed her to always better her craft, but it wasn’t until high school that she officially decided making music is what she wanted to do with her life.
After high school, Auburn moved to Nashville, TN where she would begin working towards a degree in Commercial Music and a minor in Worship Arts at Trevecca Nazarene University. She just recently graduated in 2018. Since graduation, has kept honing her skills as a songwriter and vocalist.
Auburn’s recent work has ranged from performances with a Grammy winning artist to having a featured track on a children’s album. She can be heard on Meredith Andrew’s, Charles Billingsley’s, and Tim Timmon’s new albums as a background vocalist. She is also a featured vocalist on the children’s album Boombox Kids Vol. 1. Her live performances include a music video shoot with Jason Crabb and a live show with him that aired on TBN (Trinity Broadcasting Network). She also performed with former American Idol contestant Sydney Hutchko in one of her Nashville showcases. Auburn was the opener for former Voice contestant Audra McLaughlin in Las Vegas in 2017. It is not uncommon to find Auburn in a local songwriter round or showcase here in Nashville or back in her hometown.
Outside of music, you can catch Auburn shooting archery, shopping, adventuring outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family. When she is not doing music, she likes to take it easy and relax to enjoy the little things in life.
